I. College Introduction

Sanya Aviation and Tourism College is a full-time vocational college,which is the only private vocational college in Hainan Province that has been approved as the college with high-level higher vocational college and professional groups,and it’s affiliated to the HNA Aviation Group under the  Fangda Group.Founded in 2005 in Sanya City, Hainan Province,the new campus, located in the Yucai area of Sanya City, covers an area of 930 mu (approximately 61.4 hectares) and is currently under construction.The college has 48 majors and more than 10,000 students. Since its establishment, the college has made a series of teaching achievements,including five national demonstration majors,one national ideological and political excellent teaching team,and 18 national and provincial excellent courses.The college has more than 30 training qualifications, such as Aircraft Maintenance License Training (CAAC), Dangerous Goods Transportation Training, Aviation Safety Officer Training (CAAC), the Crew Training of Unlimited Navigation Area and Duty-free Goods Shopping Guide.In addition, the college has the National Science Popularization Education Base,the Civil Aviation Science Popularization Education Base of China,the Lufthansa Aircraft Maintenance Technology National Collaborative Innovation Center, the Hainan Provincial High-skilled Talents Training Base (Hainan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security),Hainan Provincial Research,Study and Travel Base (Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism and Culture and the Department of Education),the Hainan Provincial Maritime Science and Technology Museum (Hainan Provincial Department of Science and Technology),the Veterans Training Base (Hainan Provincial Department of Veterans Affairs),and the provincial characteristic training and teaching demonstration center for civil aviation transportation, etc.Besides,it has formulated two national standards, namely,the Standards for Post Placement Practice in Aviation Service and the Standards for Post Placement Practice in Civil Aviation Transportation,selected as the Sino-Foreign Youth Social Practice Base in 2025.

Relying on the professional advantages of “Aviation, Navigation and Tourism”, the college innovates the “double certificate” training mode for international students at higher vocational level. The college has successfully carried out several study abroad program for international students, which includes “Chinese + hotel service skills”, “Chinese + flight crew skills” and “Chinese + professional degree” programs, among which the “Hotel Talent Class” in Nepal has trained over 1,000 “foreign craftsmen” in hotel management. The college has enrolled more than 100 language students who come from Russian-speaking country and international students with academic qualifications. The “Flight Attendant Talent Class” in Thailand innovates the training mechanism for international talents in aviation services and builds a platform for cultural and educational exchanges along the 21^st Century Maritime Silk Road. In addition, in the past five years, the college has co-organized three rounds of foreign aid training sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and undertaken by the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province. More than 100 civil aviation practitioners from 16 countries along the Belt and Road have participated in the training. In 2022, the college obtained the certification of foreign seafarers training course issued by Hainan Maritime Safety Administration, which has become the first pilot college of foreign seafarers training in China.

    1.Chinese learning programs

The college has a team of experienced international Chinese teachers, providing Chinese language and culture from the zero to advanced stage of training courses. Students who meet the requirements for the completion of the course will obtain the elementary/Intermediate/Advanced certificate of completion of Chinese learning in Sanya Aviation and Tourism College.

2. “Chinese + Vocational Skills”training programs

The college offers “Chinese + Vocational Skills” training classes for foreign students for a long time, which usually starts with small classes at full attendance. At the same time, bilingual vocational training courses in aviation, navigation and tourism can be customized according to the needs of cooperative institutions. 1.Admission Requirements

1. Non-Chinese citizens.

2. Age: from 18 to 35 years old.

3. Be friendly to China and abide by Chinese laws and regulations and college rules and regulations.

4. Be interested in Chinese language and Chinese culture.

5. High school diploma or above.

6. Academic students should have the corresponding Chinese level and have obtained HSK3 certificate at least.

2.Application Materials

1. A copy of the passport.

2. SATC Application form for International Students.

3. Notarized certificate of no criminal record.

4. A notarized copy of the highest education certificate

5. A notarized copy of the highest academic transcript.

6. Less than half a year’s 2 inch half-length, bareheaded and full-faced electronic photos with white background.

7. The Guarantor Guarantee and the valid identity certificate of the Guarantor.

8. Two letters of recommendation and one study plan in China.

9. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner should be valid in 6 months (hospitals need to be pointed by Chinese Embassy).

10. Applicants for Hainan Government Scholarship should fill in the Application Form for Hainan Government Scholarship for International Students.

3.Admission and Registration

1. The application materials will be reviewed after receiving them.

2. After the final admission result is confirmed, the college will send the required materials to apply for the study visa in China.

3. The admitted students apply for a study visa at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in your home country.

4. The scholarship finalist will be confirmed by Hainan Provincial Department of Education.

5. Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change the college, major or duration of study after coming to China.

6. The specific time of enrollment registration shall be subject to the Admission Notice.

7. For some reasons that can not register on time, the students should ask for leave from the college and no more than two weeks. Those who fail to register without the approval of the college will give up their college status, admission qualification and scholarship eligibility automatically.

8.  Scholarship Setting

   The college offers Hainan Provincial Government Scholarship for International students, which is reviewed every academic year, with a standard of 15000 yuan per student per year for academic students (a total of three years of funding), and 12000 yuan per student per year for short term major studying students or language students (a total of one year of funding). Scholarships are used to pay tuition fees, and other expenses will be paid by students.
